First of all, I must mention that the period of adolescence includes from the ages of 11 to 20 years. Even some experts have divided it into two periods: first adolescence (11 to 14 years) and second adolescence (15 to 20 years), although the definition of adolescence has changed like childhood and childhood. But what is important is the importance of this short period when a person is separated from childhood and enters an important age that is associated with hormonal changes, puberty and even changes in feelings and emotions, and gender finds a new meaning for him. A teenager thinks he is grown up and knows everything. This is because it is a piece of speech of most of the teenagers – I know it myself. In this era, we adults need to deal with them with more patience and tolerance and even ignore many things. Now the question is, can theater as an important educational tool play a role in education and transition from this stressful age for teenagers and even parents? As a theater director who has been working with children for years, as well as a father with a teenage daughter, I have to say the answer is yes. Certainly, theater can play an important role both as an entertainment and as an educational and effective activity for children. In my five previous plays (Excuse me, We Didn’t Read, Otherwise, When We Aren’t, Whisper, and The Curious Incident of the Sixteenth), which were all with, for, and about teenagers, I understood very well that theater is both fun for them and an escape This means that it can be important in projecting emotions and spending their nervous and mental time and as a lesson, a special and skill-oriented class that teaches important issues in the life of teenagers. A group that will soon and quickly reach the age of adolescence. They choose a field and go to university, and their entry into youth should be with freshness and vitality. Therefore, theater can be helpful, entertaining, inspiring and even a close friend for them. I hope that teenage theater will be taken more seriously and we will become more aware of the need of children in their teenage years for such a medium.
