Encouraging in the word means to encourage, to cheer up and to wish, and it has a great impact on children and teenagers. As a theater instructor, I have seen the impact of encouragement on my students many times. A child who has seen and heard negative conditions and coercion from his parents many times to do something can easily be encouraged to do the same difficult or unwanted work. With a simple encouragement, by handing or giving a bouquet of flowers and even saying that “you were great and shined.”
Now in our work, which is performing arts, picture a child who has gone on stage for the first time and performed a play, when we encourage him and ask him to introduce himself to the crowd and talk about Explain the role he played. The effect of encouragement can be many times because he was encouraged in front of the eyes of people other than acquaintances and family. Encouragement is constructive and hopeful even for us adults. I myself love when the audience claps for me at the end of the show. At this time, I am at the height of happiness.
According to psychologists, praise is the solution to many problems in children and teenagers, and when a young person is mentioned in front of everyone and praised, he hopes to continue his work. As a person who has called children many times on the stage and asked the audience to clap for them, I have deeply understood their beautiful feeling and I know what a pleasant feeling it gives to a person. So let’s encourage our children to do their duties properly to increase their self-confidence and encourage them.
